Adventurer's Wanted! - Scoutmaster search has started.
Get ready! The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is coming and it isn't like any jamboree before. We're talking seriously high adventure. Whitewater rafting, zip-lining, rappeling, mountain biking, hiking, expanded scuba diving and more, with 50,000 of your closest friends, at the brand new Summit Bechtel Reserve in the wilds of West Virginia. This 10,600 acre site, bordered on three sides by the New River Gorge National River, is being crafted by Scouting for Scouting. The Summit is now the 4th BSA High Adventure Base. Scout Participant Qualifications
Must have a current BSA youth membership with a Boy Scout Troop.
Must be at least a First Class scout.
Must be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the jamboree or an 11 year old that has completed the 6th grade.
Must not have reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the jamboree.
Be approved by the Unit leader and local Council.
Participate in a pre-jamboree training experience.
Have filed a jamboree personal health and medical record with the Council jamboree committee before the pre-jamboree training.
Submit all registration fees per the local Council's payment schedule.
